"The four elements to prospecting: Target, Channel, Message, Timing"
First 3 days of cold emails & hoe to write a good cold email ...
The first 3 days of me sending cold emails has been rough. I've gotten 2 responses one said yes the other was calling me out.
I think I'm getting a high open rate, so my subject line is good. I don't know because a lot of things can effect an open rate.
I've been researching what makes a good cold email and hopefully what I came up with is good enough.
- The subject must be enticing.
- The email body should be 100 words or less, closer to 50 or less.
- The first few sentences needs to be succinct and captures the readers attention.
- There needs to be a good I to You ratio, talk more about them and not yourself.
- Provide them value first then go for the ask.
- Speak in plain language so its more readable.
- No more than 2 sentence paragraphs.
I've rewritten my email a couple of times today, so tomorrow we'll see how it goes.
When you follow up with some one you are not bothering or spamming them.(Unless you are sending them an email every day.)
You are reminding them who you are.
Same with call to actions. You are not begging them you are letting know if it's the first email and reminding them in a follow up email.
